Melbourne Renegades Women beat Hobart Hurricanes Women by four wickets, reaching 155-6 from 19.5 overs, in the ninth match of the Weber WBBL|12 season at Ninja Stadium, Hobart, on Wednesday 4 November 2026.

The match was settled by a no-ball call after the scores finished tied at 154, with umpires ruling that Hurricanes wicketkeeper Lizelle Lee had taken the final delivery in front of the stumps.

The Renegades won the toss and elected to field. The Hurricanes posted 7-154 from their 20 overs.

Hurricanes captain Nicola Carey top-scored with 62 off 43 balls, in her 150th WBBL match. Hurricanes batter Chinelle Henry made 36 off 18 balls before leaving the field with a suspected hip injury, having bowled one wicketless over for 14 runs.

Renegades captain Sophie Molineux took 4-22. The figures took her past 100 wickets for her WBBL career, making her the second Renegades player to reach the milestone, after Molly Strano's 104.

Renegades opener Hayley Matthews led the run chase with 59 off 44 balls, with Renegades batter Courtney Webb adding 29 off 25.

The Renegades were 1-101 after 13 overs but lost five wickets for 37 runs, setting up a tight finish. The Hurricanes had earlier been penalised for a slow over rate, restricting them to two fielders outside the circle for the last three balls of the innings.

With the scores tied at 154 and one ball remaining, Renegades batter Deandra Dottin missed the final delivery. Lee gathered the ball standing up to the stumps, and players began preparing for a Super Over.

Replays then showed Lee had taken the ball in front of the stumps. Umpires called a no-ball, awarding the Renegades the winning run.

The win was the Renegades' first of the WBBL|12 season. The Hurricanes remained winless after three matches and sit bottom of the WBBL|12 table.
