Sydney Thunder will field an unchanged squad when they host the Perth Scorchers at Drummoyne Oval on Thursday, November 5, with the Weber WBBL|12 match starting at 7:10pm AEDT.
The Thunder have won their opening two matches of the season and sit equal first on the ladder with the Sydney Sixers and the Scorchers.
Head coach Lisa Keightley said the start to the season had been built on contributions from across the group rather than one or two standout players.
"It's really nice to see the team put on two strong performances. I'm pleased that we haven't relied on any one player. It's been a real team effort," Keightley said.
"If we can continue to play this way it will really set us up to put pressure on teams and give us an opportunity to win matches."
The Thunder squad for the match is Phoebe Litchfield (captain), Jemma Barsby, Sam Bates, Lauren Bell, Hannah Darlington, Nadine de Klerk, Lucy Finn, Nicola Hancock, Laura Harris, Heather Knight, Anika Learoyd, Georgia Voll and Tahlia Wilson.
Keightley said Thursday's opponents had also made a strong start to the competition and would present a tough test at Drummoyne Oval.
"The Scorchers have also started the competition well so it's going to be a very competitive match. They have some key players that we will need to keep quiet," she said.
"But if we can continue to improve as a group I feel like we can put them under pressure and give us the best opportunity to win the match."
Keightley was appointed Sydney Thunder's WBBL head coach in June 2023.
The Thunder's season continues at pace after Thursday's clash. They play the Sydney Sixers on November 8, before a rematch with the Scorchers at Drummoyne Oval on November 11 and a home fixture against the Melbourne Stars on November 16.
