New South Wales beat Western Australia by 78 runs in the Marsh One-Day Cup at the WACA Ground in Perth on Saturday 24 October 2026, with Sam Konstas scoring 149 off 131 balls.
NSW posted 8/371 from their 50 overs, with Josh Philippe making 51, Jack Edwards 45 and Lachlan Shaw 44.
Konstas's innings included 15 fours and four sixes.
Western Australia were bowled out for 293 in 46.3 overs in reply.
Western Australia's Sam Whiteman top-scored with 116 off 113 balls before he was run out in the 41st over.
Whiteman was on 99 when he called Ashton Agar through for a single, and Agar was run out. Whiteman reached his century off the next ball, but the dismissal effectively ended WA's chase.
Agar made 43 before he was run out. Earlier in the innings, he took a one-handed catch at backward point to dismiss Ben Dwarshuis for 20.
Ashton Turner made 41 for WA. NSW's Jack Nisbet took 3-47, while Bryce Jackson finished with 2-58.
It was Konstas's second century in four days. He scored 71 and an unbeaten 151 for NSW in a drawn Sheffield Shield match against Western Australia on 21 October 2026.
Konstas was dropped from the Australian Test side after debuting in the Boxing Day Test in 2024 against India with a score of 60. He failed to pass 25 in his next nine Test innings.
The run of centuries is reported to be strengthening his case for a Test recall. National selector Tony Dodemaide watched his earlier Shield century in person.
The result leaves Western Australia at 0-3, with their title hopes effectively over. NSW move to 3-1, into second place in the Marsh One-Day Cup.
