Athletics Australia and the Nine Network have announced a seven-year broadcast partnership that will make Nine the home of Australian athletics from 2027 to at least the end of 2033.
The agreement, announced on the Athletics Australia website on Sunday, covers the sport's leading athletes and rising stars across the next seven years.
The deal extends beyond the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games and the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games, giving Nine broadcast rights to Australian athletics content well past both events.
Athletics Australia described the partnership as a landmark agreement for the sport in a statement published on its website.
The arrangement means Nine will carry Australian athletics coverage through two home-region Olympic cycles, with Brisbane hosting the Games in 2032.
Further details of the broadcast schedule and programming under the new deal were not outlined in the announcement.
