The Hungry Jack's NBL says its NBL27 season has opened with record numbers, reporting a 96 per cent rise in free-to-air television audiences and a 14 per cent increase in crowds compared with last season's opening.
The figures were published on the league's website as its headline news item for the start of the new season, under the headline "Ratings records & big crowds: NBL27 opens with a bang".
The NBL did not release the underlying attendance or viewership totals behind the percentage increases in its release.
