Melbourne City have signed forward Cortnee Vine ahead of the 2026/27 Ninja A-League Women season, headlining a transfer window that has reshaped rosters at all eleven clubs, according to a roundup published by the A-Leagues.
City's other new arrivals include Melina Ayres, Avaani Prakash, Taylor Ray, Aimee Medwin, Jessika Nash, Momo Hayashi and Kelli McGroarty, the A-Leagues said. The club has re-signed Michael Matricciani, Aideen Keane, Karly Roestbakken, Malena Mieres and Deven Jackson.
Departures from City include Holly McNamara, Bryleeh Henry, Alexia Apostolakis, Laura Hughes, Ayana Aoyagi, Caitlin Karic, Chinaza Uchendu, Ellie Wilson, Leah Davidson, Taylor Otto and Leticia McKenna.
Aoyagi has moved across the city, joining Melbourne Victory as part of a new-look squad that also includes Angie Beard, Alicia Woods, Sophie Harding and Skye Leach, the A-Leagues said. Victory have re-signed Claudia Bunge, Chelsea Blissett, Nicki Flannery, Courtney Newbon and Zoe McMeeken.
Rachel Lowe, Kennedy White, Payton Woodward, Natalie Picak, Taylor Ray, Rhianna Policina, Rosie Curtis, Sofia Sakallis and Laura Pickett have all left Victory. Ray moves the other way, joining City after leaving Victory, according to the transfer list.
Interstate moves
Adelaide United have brought in Claudia Cicco, Tessa Salvestrin, Tianna Harris and Bella Yakel. Brisbane Roar have added nine new players, including Isabel Hodgson, Katrina Guillou, Abby Smothers, Natalie Tathem, Annabel Martin, Murphy Agnew, Lily Punch, Hali Long and Emily Roach.
Canberra United have re-signed veteran striker Michelle Heyman along with Hayley Taylor-Young, Sophia Christopherson and Coco Majstorovic, among others, the club confirmed to the A-Leagues.
Central Coast Mariners have signed Danika Matos, Skye Halmarick, Morgan Aquino, Talia Kapetanellis, Te Reremoana Walker and Charlotte Lancaster. Newcastle Jets have added Chloe Walandouw, Claire Henninger, Akeisha Sandhu and Poppie Hooks.
Perth Glory have recruited Maggie Jenkins, Ella Buchanan, Baxter Thew and Sakura Leong. Sydney FC have extended James Slaveski and Claire Corbett through to the 2027-28 season, the club said.
New Zealand and western Sydney
Wellington Phoenix have brought in Kam Pickett, Abby Erceg, Tameka Yallop, Indiah-Paige Riley and Milly Clegg ahead of the new campaign. Western Sydney Wanderers have locked in Talia Younis for 2026-27, Alvina Khoshaba through to 2027-28 and Frida Karaberis to 2028-29, according to the club.
The A-Leagues run an annual off-season transfer window before each Ninja A-League Women campaign, with clubs finalising signings, departures and contract extensions in the months before kick-off. The 2026/27 season is due to get under way later this year, with all eleven clubs now locked into their rosters.
