Adelaide 36ers guard Bryce Cotton has spoken publicly about living with anxiety since he was 17, in an article published on the National Basketball League's official website.

The NBL said Cotton used the piece to describe how he has managed the condition throughout his basketball career. He said he was proud he chose not to hide it.

The league distributed the article to media through its newsfeed on Tuesday, October 13.

The NBL's decision to run his personal account forms part of its wider coverage of players' lives away from the court.
